The structural alteration of two attached 3 storey shop units to convert their ground floor into one open plan retail unit for use by High Street chain SpecSavers.
Extensive basement works were completed in confined conditions to provide new foundations to receive fire-protected structural steelwork to support upper storey floors following the removal of ground floor load bearing masonry.
A new ground floor slab and roof were also provided as part of the contract.
This traditional contract was completed in a period of 16 weeks.
