An 8000 ft² split level extension to a former Mill building to increase capacity.
The project was constructed on a confined site surrounded by sensitive neighbouring businesses.
The firms IT business remained in use with provisions for deliveries and collections being maintained at all times whilst maintaining high security levels.
The extension included specialist tamper proof external doors, concrete in filled solid walls with vibration sensors (as part of an early warning system) and bespoke secure fencing to ensure the highest security levels were achieved.
New building materials were sensitively chosen to ensure, as far as possible, there would be a seamless transition between the building fabric of the new extension and the existing 100 year old Mill.
