A design and build scheme at the Alfreton Road site in Derby completed over a 36 week period.
The project involved the demolition and remediation of the existing industrial handling facility to then enable the construction of a new 2 hectare reinforced concrete yard complete with new drainage scheme including storm water attenuation and a storm water pumping system.
Throughout the project, production at the facility had to be maintained at all times. Works had to be carefully planned, co-ordinated and segregated to minimise disruption to the Hanson operation whilst at the same time ensuring the safety of their personnel.
The Hanson group continue to use Pure Construction (Midlands) Ltd for other works at Derby and at other sites which have included the re-cladding of industrial units and the refurbishment of a derelict office buildings.
