Project: New Classroom Block, Thringstone, Leicestershire
Value: £1m
Construction of a new Primary School classroom block consisting of eight separate classrooms with own toilets and changing rooms, office and reception areas and complete with all associated external works.
The works were undertaken within a 'live' school therefore extra care and attention was adopted through the construction process to ensure a safe environment was maintained at all times for the pupils.
The building is completed to a high specification with fully air conditioned rooms, electronically operated windows and blinds, glazed aluminium entrance screens and fully acoustically designed walls and ceilings and rainwater harvesting.
Completion was achieved on programme and the new building was officially opened by the Auxiliary Bishop of Westminster in the 2009 autumn term.
